Another great idea for wedding cake decorations is to place small figures on the surface of the cake. I once attended a wedding which had a “dinosaur” theme. Not only did all of the participants of the ceremony dress up like their favorite dinosaurs, but the cake was decorated with the cutest little dinosaur figurines.

They even looked slightly edible at one point, but I realized I was wrong when I tried to bite into one and cracked my tooth. So if the couple has a fascination with any sort of animal, action figure, or TV series, you should look for small plastic versions of some of the characters.

No matter what you end up choosing, you should never leave a cake without proper wedding cake decorations. Setting up a big white cake with absolutely nothing to entertain the eye can be a fatal mistake for wedding planners. Not only does it outrage the guests of the wedding, but it offends the very principles of wedding cakes. You might as well spit all over the wedding cake, because that would be just as cruel as leaving it without any decorations.
