Which Personalized Wedding Favor

A personalized wedding favor makes a lasting memory of your most special day to all who attend your wedding reception. It’s important, then, to take the time to select one that tells your guests a little something about you and your intended and to share the love you feel for one another.

Spend a Lot … Or Not

The expense of whatever personalized wedding favor you choose depends, of course, entirely upon your budget. One man had written poems to his fiancée over the course of their courtship, had a professional calligrapher set the poems on vellum, and then had them turned into a small book.

He then had the book printed and the bride and groom used these beautifully rendered and heartfelt personal poems, bound into tiny books, as favors to their wedding guests. This certainly was not the least expensive option, but it truly made a lasting impression on every single guest who attended.

Most people, however, when choosing a personalized wedding favor, lack the time – and sometimes the money – it would take to do something like the above. There are many online and brick-and-mortar wedding facilitators that provide less expensive favors for every occasion, including weddings. T

hese companies offer a huge range of choices that include such things as tins of mints; small pouches of gourmet coffee, tea, or hot chocolate; fancy cookies; tiny jars of honey – the list goes on and on. These items provide a space somewhere on them to include the bride and groom’s names, the date of the wedding, and sometimes there’s room enough for a short slogan such as “Love is Eternal,” or some other such romantic phrase.

Let’s Get Practical

Sometimes couples prefer a personalized wedding favor that offers practicality to their guests. These include things like small picture frames (with a picture of the bride and groom mounted inside), key chains (again, with the newly married couples’ images), or even a simple, small, pretty box with (again) a photo of the couple placed inside and the box itself wrapped in a lovely, elegantly tied bow that might be embossed with the couple’s names.

What About the Kids?

Often, the decision is made to offer something different for kids, if children will be attending. Children can be accommodated with a personalized wedding favor just for them. Cookies, gum, or candy can be wrapped in special paper with a message such as “Love is Sweet.” These items can be purchased at most stores that cater to wedding needs.

Whatever personalized wedding favor you select, keep in mind that it’s the thought that counts. If you can afford it – go ahead! Go all out and spare no expense! Spend whatever it takes to shower your guests – all 400 of them, if necessary – with the finest gifts money can buy! But for those of you in the majority, those who watch their pennies out of necessity, a token of appreciation – regardless of what it costs – it what really matters.

The people attending your wedding already love you, or they wouldn’t be there, right? So with this in mind, pick your favors with care, not dollar amounts in mind (except for adhering to that budget!). And have a happy reception!
