Butterfly Wedding Decorations

Properly decorating your wedding can be the one thing that makes it truly stick in the minds of your guests. Without a good amount of original and creative decorations, your wedding could become bland when it would have been simply incredible. Usually while decorating weddings, the decorator sticks with a certain theme.

This could be anything that the bride and groom both enjoy – an ocean theme, butterfly wedding decorations, or even a medieval castle theme. I do not know why, but in the past I have found that butterfly wedding decorations are some of the most popular.

You may be thinking, how many butterfly wedding decoration options could a person possibly have? The answer is surprising. No matter what cute little wedding decoration you are looking for, you will be able to find a version of it that has something to do with butterflies (or one of their many relatives).

To start, I suggest dealing with the decorations of the reception. Usually decorations are more important here, since the focus isn’t completely on the bride and groom as it is at the ceremony. The guests have more time to let their eyes wander about the various decorations you have slaved so hard to bring them.

Butterfly Napkins

During the reception, there are literally hundreds of things you can convert into butterfly wedding decorations. For example, the napkins. Would you rather have your guests wipe their food-encrusted lips on a butterfly napkin, or a plain square napkin? Yes I think the answer is obvious. After all, one has a very hard time coming up with an animal that the square napkin resembles.

I’ve found at times, and after a certain number of glasses of champagne, that the square napkins slightly resemble buffalo. But I think it is better to stick with an animal that is recognizable even when sober. Butterfly napkins are not too expensive, and are great especially when your entire theme is of butterflies.

Cookies and Candies

There are a number of various small things you can do to add to the whole butterfly mood of your wedding reception. After all, butterfly wedding decorations are available however you would like them. Besides having napkins in the shape of butterflies, you can also choose to have cookies or candies available at each table in the shape of everyone’s favorite insect.

Ask around at your local confectioners, and consider ordering online. Professionally made chocolates should not stop at being absolutely delicious to the taste. They should also strive to conform to the decorations of the rest of your wedding, and many people are realizing this need.

Wedding Favors

If you plan on providing your guests with favors at the reception, you can choose to get these same favors in a different variety. Yeah, you guessed it – a butterfly variety. For example, say you had originally planned to provide the guests with a sweet little candle in a pouch.

It may sound crazy, but you can get this same candle with its jar/tin in the shape of a butterfly. Keep the original charm of a thoughtful favor, but add that little touch that makes your guest say “Wow, everything here is a butterfly for god’s sake!” It’s quite charming, and I suggest it if you are running low on decorative ideas.
